Beverly Jean (Wietbrock) Franks, 75 of Kouts, passed from this life and entered heaven on May 6, 2023. She was born on March 10, 1948, to Harold and Doris (Ebert) Wietbrock. She grew up in Lowell, Indiana, and was the oldest of four children. She attended Lowell High School and graduated in 1966. After high school graduation, Beverly attended Secretarial School in South Bend. Once she was done with her training, she went on to work at Valparaiso University until her first child was born. On July 9, 1971, Beverly married Gordon Franks. Together, they had three sons, Tim, Greg, and Ted. Beverly was a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years as her sons went through Scouts. She worked for Walmart for 25 years. She enjoyed creating items from plastic canvas and gifted many pieces to family and friends over the years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Kouts, Indiana.
Beverly is survived by her sons: Tim Franks of San Pierre, Indiana; Greg (Darrah) Franks of Columbus, Indiana; and Ted (Chrissy) Franks of Hebron, Indiana; and her grandchildren: Josephine Franks, Lucas and Renna Hinkle; brothers, Jim (Marie) Wietbrock and David (Maryann) Wietbrock; and sister, Ruth Ann Wietbrock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Franks and her parents, Harold and Doris Wietbrock.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Kosanke Funeral Home 309 S. Main St., (New Location), Kouts, with a Funeral Service beginning at 6:00 PM. A private graveside service will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Kouts.
