Beverly Jean Marietta, 79 of Valparaiso, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023. She was born January 28, 1944 in East Chicago, IN to Alby and Beatrice (Metzinger) Jackson. A 1962 graduate of Lew Wallace High School, Beverly made her career at Bethlehem Steel as a scrap baller. She was a member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Hebron and enjoyed photography, floral arranging, dancing, camping, classic cars, and attending car shows with her husband. Most of all Beverly cherished time with family, especially her grandkids.
On January 11, 1964, Beverly married Gerald D. Marietta who survives along with their children, Jane (James) Yankauskas, Diana (Rick) Moreland, and Annette (Jessie) Forrester; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Elaine (Mike) Didelot, Ron (Kathy) Jackson, and Bob (Mary) Jackson; sister-in-law, Sandy Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Brian Shutske; and siblings, Bill Jackson and Janet Barkowski.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 1:00-4:00 PM at Kosanke Funeral Home 309 S. Main St., Kouts, with a Prayer Service at 3:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 9th at 11:00 AM at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 302 N. Madison St., Hebron, with visitation at church one hour prior to Mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Kouts.
