Beverly Rae Loomis, 73, of Westville passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Beverly was born on January 30, 1950, to Bobby and Norma Boykin in Melvin, Arkansas. Beverly received her High School Diploma from Highland High School in 1969 and her Bachelor of Science with Honors in Nursing from Purdue Calumet University. She was a practicing registered nurse until her illness in 1994. Beverly has been in the service of the Lord since 1972.
In 1964, Beverly met Terrence Loomis at Twilight Roller Rink in Griffith, Indiana. Beverly and Terrence married on August 27, 1966 then went on to have four children, Tamra LaHayne, Kathy Loomis, Rachel Pozza, and Bobby Loomis.
She is survived by her surviving spouse and children, her sister, Kathy Bauser (who says she was a wonderful, beautiful sister), 9 grandchildren, Timothy, Terry, Jacqueline, Kathy Jo, Jazmin, Amanda, Jessica, Rachel, Autumn, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Moeller Funeral Home in Valparaiso, Indiana, on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Services will be 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home. Dinner will be at 6:00 p.m. at Valparaiso Baptist Church on 612 Emmettsburg Avenue, Valparaiso, Indiana. Memorial donations may be made to Valparaiso Baptist Church.
