Billy Dean Walsh, 90 of Valparaiso, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024.  He was born May 29, 1933 in Angola, IN to the late Glen and Opal Elizabeth (Fredrick) Walsh.  A 1952 graduate of Flint High School, Billy made his 40-year career with Verizon, starting as a cable splicer and retiring as a supervisor.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the American Legion.  Billy also raised veal calves and enjoyed hunting.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend that will be greatly missed.
On June 22, 1953, Billy married Betty Ann Munice who preceded him in death in 2018.  He is survived by his daughter, Claudia (Edward) Deniston; grandchildren, Christopher (Annessa) Deniston, Jamie Deniston (Shawn Bursma), Ben, Nick, and Tyler Walsh; and great grandchildren, Savannah, Emmalyn, Madison, and Mason.  Billy was also preceded in death by his son, Timothy and daughter-in-law, Lorrie; grandson, Josh; brother, Fred; and sisters, Beverly Jean Army and Barbara Jean Ramsey.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso with a Memorial Service beginning at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be sent to the Portage Dialysis Center, 5615 37th Ave, Portage 46368.

Oh Butch from the first time you & Cindy came into the store I fell in love with you both & knew we would be friends forever. Although I didn't get to see you both as much as after I left that love never faded. I hope that wherever you are that you found your Cindy's soul & you two are together again.
