Brandy Lynn Lohse, 47 of Valparaiso, IN, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 11, 2024. She was born February 15, 1977, in Hammond, IN, to Phillip and Mary Ellen (Faulds) Bridegroom. Brandy graduated from Calumet High School in Gary in 1995, and made her career as a Medical Assistant with Franciscan Physician Network in Valparaiso. She was a member of Heartland Christian Center, and enjoyed her Bunco Club. Brandy was an avid reader, a frog fanatic, and a Disney connoisseur. She loved to watch movies, especially Beetlejuice, Corpse Bride, and Aladdin. But above all, Brandy’s children brought her the greatest joy in her life. She was a devoted and loving mother who went above and beyond to care for her kids. She was a natural caregiver, great listener, and problem solver. Brandy will be remembered as witty, kind, and compassionate. She was a beloved daughter, mother, and sister, whose legacy will live on in her children. Brandy will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Brandy is survived by her children: Mikayla Lohse of Valparaiso, IN, Michael Lohse of Roseville, CA, and Mackenzie Lohse of Valparaiso, IN; father, Phil (Roberta) Bridegroom; step-father, Junior Bell; brother, Phil (Cori) Bridegroom; aunt, Margaret Woods; and many loving step-siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ellen Bell; maternal and paternal grandparents; and a step-brother.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Heartland Christian Center, 170 IN-49, Valparaiso, IN, (Please use entrance #3 on the southwest corner) with a funeral service beginning at 5:00 p.m. Private burial at Adams Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mikayla Lohse. The family requests that you please wear Brandy’s favorite color, green, to honor her memory.
