Carol Lynn Taylor, 72 of LaPorte, IN, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024. She was born January 22, 1952, in Michigan City, IN to Jack and Ardith (Dutcher) Allen. Carol most recently had been working at Blue Chip Casino as a Pit Boss, but previously enjoyed a career with the film processing lab, Customation, in Michiana for 15 years. In her youth, Carol liked to spend time outdoors hunting and fishing in Michigan. She was also a gifted photographer. Carol will be remembered as an intelligent and caring person, with a quick-witted nature and spitfire personality. She will be dearly missed.
Carol is survived by her son, Kelly Allen of Merrillville, IN; granddaughters, Vivan Grace Allen and Margot Monroe Allen; and siblings: Jack Allen, Jeff Allen, and Terri Masterson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dave Taylor; and fiancé, Larry Wolfenbarger.
Per Carol’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
