Cassie N. Miller (Clifford), 37, of Valparaiso, IN, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, September 9, 2022, surrounded by love and family, following a 14-month cancer battle.
Born to Mike and Cheryl (Hewlett) Clifford in Valparaiso, on May 7, 1985, Cassie welcomed many titles during her life.  As a beloved daughter, she brought a tremendous amount of pride to Cheryl and Mike, from Soap Box Derby championships in her early years, to graduating Valparaiso High School, then the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education.  As a loving and beautiful wife, she brought her college sweetheart, Jon, a sense of completeness and perfectly complimented him in every way.  Most importantly, she excelled in wearing the title of mother. As the mom of Layna (10), Josslyn (deceased at birth), Kaia (8), and Paxton (6), she was the center of their universe and they were the center of hers.  Throughout her professional career, she positioned herself near her own children, while ensuring other parents' children received the same level of love and attention, from The Play School of Carmel, IN to Parkview Elementary in Valparaiso, where she also attended as a child.
In addition to her loving husband, beautiful children, and supportive parents, Cassie is survived by her brother, Jeremy (Brandi); grandparents, Joe and Dora Clifford and Dolly Hewlett; nieces and nephews, Jaxon Clifford, Trenton and Rylie Boezeman; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Don Hewlett.
Visitation hours will be held at Moeller Funeral Home (104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso, IN) on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 3 - 7:00 pm. A memorial service will also be held at Moeller Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 10:30 am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Northwestern Memorial Foundation, supporting the area of service of Oncology.  Click here to watch the recorded funeral service.
