Catherine Doyle, 87, of Westville, formerly of Liberty Township passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023. She was born December 10, 1936, in County Kerry, Ireland to James & Margaret (Doyle) O’Connor. On July 28, 1956 in Ireland she married William Doyle who preceded her in death in 2007. Survivors include their children; Ann (Randy) Gulley, Ellen Doyle, Bill (Mary) Doyle, John (Ronda) Doyle, Margaret McGonigal & Theresa (Joe) Gaines, siblings; Anne, Donnie, James & Nora O’Connor, grandchildren; Shawn & Jeremy Doyle, Eric & Jason Gulley, Kristin Madison & Riley Gaines, and great-grandchildren; John, Makayla, Kaiden, Jaiden, Aubree, Xavier, Cathryn & McKenzie.
Although Catherine dedicated herself to raising her family and providing a nurturing home, she enjoyed a brief career with the McDonald’s restaurant on Calumet Avenue in Valparaiso and her regular customers she would see there. Her strong Irish roots were never far from her thoughts and proudly displayed whenever circumstances might allow.
Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory a private family committal ceremony will be held at Sat. Paul’s Cemetery, Valparaiso with Deacon Dale Walsh officiating.
