Charlene A. Hanna, 69, of Portage, formerly of Valparaiso passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 8, 2025. She was born January 27, 1956. in Gary, Indiana to Earl & Eleanore (Bain) Williamson and graduated from Portage High School. Charlene made her career as a secretary at Porter Memorial Hospital’s NICU for over a decade.
On May 22, 1993, she married Richard N. Hanna who preceded her in death in 2002. Survivors include children: Rachael Glancy of Kouts & Tim Glancy of Merrillville, sister, Mary Pfiefer of Portage, brothers: Earl (Linda) Williamson, Jr. of Hanna & Larry Williamson of Valparaiso, grandchildren: Merannda, Bailey & Ian, brother-in-law, Dave Lowden, her significant other, Tom Olesh and a small troupe of spoiled feline friends. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Donna Lowden and brother, Harold Williams.
Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory private committal ceremony and burial of urn will take place at Angelcrest Cemetery.
