Charles Francis Egolf, 63, of LaPorte passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, July 22, 2023. He was born February 18, 1960, in Valparaiso to Lyle I. & Anne L. (Trulock) Egolf, graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1978, served with the U.S. Navy, and received an Associate’s degree from Ivy Tech in Industrial Technology. Chuck made his career as a Machinist with Sullair Manufacturing in Michigan City for many years.
Survivors include his mother, Anne Egolf of Valparaiso, siblings; Julie Egolf of Illinois, Mike (Nina) Egolf of Valparaiso, Steve (Sandy) Egolf of Massachusetts, Elizabeth Davis of Colorado, Kris Hammar (Bill Slazyk) of Valparaiso, many loving nieces, nephews & friends, and his canine companion “Bougher”. He was preceded in death bv his father, Lyle Egolf, and his beloved “Auggie” doggie.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, August 21st from 2 – 5 pm for family and friends at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso. Memorial donations may be made to the LaPorte County Animal Shelter.
