Christina Marie Martinez, 35 of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away September 21, 2021. She was born January 3, 1986, in Valparaiso, Indiana to Johnny and Donna (Gonzales) Martinez. Tina graduated from Portage High School in 2004 and received her associate degree from the International Business College in Fort Wayne. She was most recently working as a Customer Service Representative with U-Haul. Tina was an avid reader, who loved art and expressing herself through painting. She also enjoyed going to the movies, and truly appreciated the works of Tim Burton, especially his films. Tina will be remembered as a beloved daughter, sister, fiancé, and aunt, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Tina is survived by her mother, Donna Martinez of Valparaiso, IN; fiancé, D.J. Love; sisters: Shannon Martinez, Jennifer Martinez, and Carrie Martinez; niece, Madison Steinke; nephew, Matthew Steinke; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Martinez; grandparents: Vera and Richard Gonzales; aunt, Catherine Touketto; and cousin, Alexander Touketto.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso, IN, with the memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rami’s Heart Covid-19 Memorial.
