Christine C. Foelber, 73 of Valparaiso, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025. She was born September 24, 1951, in Marinette, WI to the late Rev. Herbert and Colleen (Zoeller) Walther. Christine graduated as Valedictorian from Van Wert High School in Ohio in 1969, and went on to receive her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Valparaiso University in Nursing. She made her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Christine was a member of Hope of Israel Congregation in Valparaiso. She enjoyed showcasing her creative talents through fabric arts including quilting, weaving, and knitting. Christine loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She will be remembered as a beautiful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

On March 9, 1974, Christine married David A. Foelber, Sr., who survives, along with their children: Joshua (Michelle) Foelber, David (Faith) Foelber, and Ruth (Kris) Martin; grandchildren: Jeremiah, Luke, Isaac, Josiah, Mercy, Hannah, Hosanna Foelber, and Zachariah and Aaron Martin; siblings: Dr. Philip (Donna) Walther and Anne Walther; and nephews: Benjamin, Andrew, and Thomas Walther. She was preceded in death by her son, Dr. Jonathan Foelber.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hope of Israel Congregation, 504 Lincolnway, Valparaiso, IN 46383 or Heartland Christian Center, 170 S. State Rd. 49, Valparaiso, IN 46383.

We're out of town so can't be there to share our condolences personally but some of my favorite times with Chris was leading worship when she played piano. She had such an anointing and the Holy Spirit used her to bring us into God's presence. I'm sure she is still worshipping Him there now. -Rik Ihssen
