Claudia Dawn Pikula, 74 of Valparaiso, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023.  She was born September 15, 1948 in Hammond, IN to James and Shirley (Rahmstorf) Jackson.  A twelve-year heart-transplant survivor, Claudia was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She will be remembered for her vivacious personality, her infectious laugh and her stubborn disposition.  Claudia loved lunch dates with friends, decorating her home, spending time at the lake, and most of all being with her family. She often would graciously entertain family and friends and shower them with food to show her affection.  She had an extreme love of shopping. You could always find her shopping, watching the QVC Network or returning something to shop some more. 
On June 25, 1966, Claudia married Robert A. Pikula who survives along with their children, Rob Pikula, Troy (Lori) Pikula, Jason Pikula, and Gretchen (Tim) VerSchure; grandchildren, Ana, Alix, Drew (Chelsea), Peyton, Chloe, Declan, Maggie, Jade, Tyler, and Reilly; great grandchildren, Gatlyn and Elliot; and sister Laurie.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 16th 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Thursday, August 17th. 2023 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 PM Thursday, Robin Gear officiating.  Cremation will take place following services with a burial of ashes at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
