Clyde Richard Heinold, 86 of Wanatah, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023. He was born June 26, 1937, to Charles and Ina Mae (Bruder) Heinold and graduated as Valedictorian from LaCrosse High School in 1955. Clyde proudly served in the United States Navy from 1955-1957. He had also been a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Wanatah. Clyde loved his career as a John Deere Mechanic and the time he got to spend working on all things John Deere. He was an intelligent man with a knack for taking things apart and putting them back together, better than before. Clyde will be remembered for his generous nature and big heart. He will be dearly missed.
On September 26, 1956, in Knox, Clyde married Donna Rust, who preceded him in death in 2018. He is survived by their children: Doug (Christine) Heinold of Mentone, IN, Jamie (William) Tucker, of LaCrosse, Kay (Bret) Tucker of LaCrosse; grandchildren: Ryan (Ashley) Krueger, Kelly (Ryan) Travis, Drew (Cyndi) Heinold, Christopher (Bekah) Tucker, Eric (Kayla Kindler) Tucker, Allison (Brett) Jacobs, Megan Heinold, Bradley Tucker; and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Robert and Edythe Rust; and siblings: Delores “Jean” Singleton, Gary Heinold, and Carol Zippel.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Wanatah Funeral Chapel, 309 N. Main St., Wanatah, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m., Rev. Joel S. Zipay officiating. Burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, LaCrosse.
