Connie Marie (Northey) Nickoles, 61, of Northwest Indiana, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, after courageously battling lung cancer. Born January 15, 1964, in Valparaiso, Indiana, Connie devoted her life to her family and friends, building meaningful connections through her work in the hospitality industry.
Connie's warm spirit and dedication to service touched countless lives throughout Northwest Indiana, where she spent most of her career welcoming others with genuine kindness and care working in the hospitality industry.
She is survived by her partner of 26 years, Richard Goldsmith, her son, Zachary (Courtney) Nickoles; her daughter, Courtney (Kyle) McElyea; grandchildren: Andre, Gabbriella, Stella, Jaxon, Edward, and Hank; one great-grandchild: Jessica; her siblings, Jim Northey (Sonia Goltz), Tammi (Michael) Moore, Timothy (Franny) Becker, Michelle (Greg) Clark, and William (Rose) Mateace; her cat Boo-Boo, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish her memory. Connie was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Jessica, and her mother, Karen Pilgrim.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM CST, with a service celebrating Connie’s life starting at 4:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd, Valparaiso, IN 46383.
