Daniel J. Wilusz, 67 of Hobart, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025. He was born December 30, 1957 in Gary, Indiana to the late Emil “Moe” and Donna (Gurich) Wilusz. Dan had worked at U.S. Steel for several years and then went on to be a truck driver. He also owned and managed many properties, and his favorite and most notable career was being a D.J. in the 80’s, he was known as Jammin Dan. Dan was the life of the party, even when he wasn’t the D.J. He also enjoyed spending time playing with his luck at the casinos.
Dan is survived by his son, Christopher Wilusz; sister, Pat (Rick) Broadstone; and his nieces, Tracy (Chris) Dietel, Allison (Ryan) Bergdoll, and Tara (Christopher) Kaser.
No services will be held at this time, with cremation at Angelcrest Crematory. In lieu of flowers, please take a friend out for a cup of coffee in remembrance of Dan.
