Darrin S. Biggs, 54, of Valparaiso passed away Tuesday, October 31.  He was born April 4, 1969 in Wiesbaden, Germany to Terry & Sandra (Beschinski) Biggs, graduated from El Dorado High School in Las Vegas, NV.  Darrin made his career with the Porter County Animal Shelter for the past decade and was currently serving as their Director.  His natural affinity for stray animals of every kind began early in his life, utilizing his bedroom closet as a nursery. Fishing with uncle “Unc” Dan on Long Lake was always a welcome reprieve, and target shooting sessions with friends created lasting bonds.
Survivors include his mother, Sandra Biggs, aunts & uncles; Dan & Susan Biggs, Sharon Beach, Eugene & Carol Beschinski, Michael & Gayle Beschinski, Richard Beschinski, Norleen Patterson, cousin, Shalon Worden, and many more loving cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Biggs in 2000.
A visitation will be held Friday, November 10th from 3 – 5 pm at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso with a memorial service beginning at 5:30 pm.  Memorial donations may be made to the Porter County Animal Shelter.
