Daryl L. Bos, 69, of Fishers, Indiana formerly of Wanatah and LaCrosse, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 7, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born August 24, 1953, to Donald & Thelma (Mockler) Bos and graduated from LaCrosse High School in 1971. Daryl made his career with Kankakee Valley REMC for 43 years, retiring in 2015 as Warehouse Supervisor. He immersed himself in his grandchildren’s sporting events after moving to Fishers 8 years ago and loved every moment of it.  As the “official unofficial” keeper of LaCrosse boys sports statistics he would still regularly receive requests for scores, averages, or personal bests in Tiger contests dating back decades. He was able to accommodate nearly everyone.
On July 2, 1977, he married Kim Tarnow who survives along with their children; Traci (Jon) Whiteaker of Fishers, Devin Bos of Fishers, grandchildren; Evelyn, Wes, Cole, Delaney & Gianna, and siblings; Dennis (Joanna) Bos of Wanatah, David (Carmo) Bos of Virginia, & Debbie (Scott) Sutton of Wanatah. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Gordon Wiesjahn.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, July 14th from 3 – 7 pm at Wanatah Funeral Chapel with a time of sharing beginning at 6:30 pm.

Kim, I am so sorry to hear about Daryl. He was a good friend and I enjoyed working with him at St John Vianney. Daryl was always very supportive to me and we enjoyed sharing sports and grandkids stories. He was very loyal and wanted the Church to be cleaned to perfection-which he always accomplished that. May God bless Daryl and your family during this time of mourning. -Larry Kunkel
