David W. Petruch, 64 of Valparaiso, IN, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025. He was born June 14, 1961, in Gary, IN, to the late John and Jannetta (Cain) Petruch. Dave made his career as a Sales Representative in various industries throughout Northwest Indiana. He attended St. Paul Catholic Church, and was a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Portage, Portage Jaycees, and volunteered with the National Kidney Foundation. He loved listening to music, cheering for the Chicago Cubs, and spending time with his friends and family. Dave had an active social life and loved to have a good time and laugh. He will be remembered for the courage he has shown throughout the medical challenges he endured in his life. Dave will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
David is survived by his sisters: Nancy Pressner of Greenfield, Diane (Ted) Greiff of Valparaiso, and Brenda (Tim) Murray of Valparaiso; nieces and nephews: Sarah (Tim) Young, Bryan Pressner, Zachary Murray, and Zane Murray; great-nephew, Camden; and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Jim Pressner.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso. The funeral service will begin on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville.
