Deborah Marie Pastor, 64 of Valparaiso, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026.  She was born on November 6, 1961 in Valparaiso, the daughter of Wilbur “Fred” and Mary “Dolly” (Bakas) Fleming.  A 1979 graduate of Chesterton High School, Debbie made her career as a realtor and recently worked as a teacher’s aide at Flint Lake Elementary School.  She maintained an active lifestyle with early morning walks, fitness time with friends and found joy traveling with her husband and loved ones. She also treasured time spent socializing and connecting with those she held dear. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family. Debbie was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and Mimi who will be greatly missed.

On September 13, 1986, Debbie married Bobby Pastor, Jr. who survives along with her parents, Fred and Dolly Fleming; daughter, Ashley (Chad) Needham; granddaughter, Scarlett; brothers, Todd (Janice) Fleming, Mike (Kristen) Fleming, and Scott (Tammy) Fleming; sisters-in-law, Melonie Holland and Cindy Newlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory, a Celebration of Life will be held at later date.
