Donald H. Mohr, Sr. 89, of Valparaiso formerly of Baltimore, MD passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 13, 2023. He was born January 31, 1934, in Baltimore to Frank & Elsa (Poetsch) Mohr, Sr. and received a Civil Engineering degree from Johns Hopkins University. Don made his career with Bethlehem Steel for nearly 40 years.
On June 24, 1956 he married Marilyn McBeth who survives along with their children; Donald H. (Tamara) Mohr, Jr. of Orinda, CA, Laura (Rob) Demeter of Westfield, IN, Jennifer (Thomas) La Plant of Darwin, MN, grandchildren; Teresa (Tracy) Davidson, Calley Ault, Erin Mohr, Kyle & Harley Money, and great-grandchildren; Jackson & Teagan. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Frank Jr., Ruth, Naomi & Betty.
A visitation will be held Saturday, August 5th from 1 – 3 pm at First Presbyterian Church of Valparaiso, with memorial service beginning at 3:00 pm, Rev. Kim Adams officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the church.
