Eric Dale Jones, 63 of Valparaiso, IN, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025. He was born December 14, 1961, in Valparaiso to the late Owen Dale Jones and Gail (Redenbacher) Tuminello. Eric graduated from Morgan Township High School in 1980, and proudly served in the United States Air Force. He went on to a career as a Union Carpenter until his retirement in 2020. Throughout his life, Eric enjoyed playing sports, especially baseball, basketball, and recently, slow pitch softball. He also liked to ride his fat boy motorcycle with his buddies.
Eric was a loving and devoted father who was always there to support his daughters in their extracurricular activities and sports as their biggest fan. He loved spending time with and spoiling his beloved granddaughters. Eric’s family will remember him for the unconditional love he showed them, his rough and rugged nature, and wildly good sense of humor. He will be dearly missed.
Eric is survived by his daughters: Alex (Kyle O'Neal) Jones of Plant City, FL, and Jordan Jones of Michigan City, IN; grandkids: Kase, Marissa, Zoe and Kylee; sisters: Julie (Dennis) Gallant, Lori (James Ratner) Jones, and Pamela (James) Bertoli; stepfather, Jim Tuminello; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Eric’s life will be announced at a later date.
