Ervin A. Blando, 69 of Westville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. He was born October 11, 1954, in Manila, Philippines, to Uldarico B. Blando and Elena (Agana) Blando. Ervin made his career as a Pathologist. He was also a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Ervin enjoyed golfing, spending time with his grandsons, and watching TV. He will be remembered for his good sense of humor, his sensitivity towards others, and his genuine care for people. Ervin was very family oriented, with a deep love for his mother. He was a very hands-on father and loved watching his children grow up. Ervin will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He will be dearly missed.
Ervin is survived by his wife, Maria Blando; children: Daniel Blando, Marcus Blando, Elena Celeste (Bart) Mosier, Paul Blando, Isidora (Francis) Blando Perfecto, and Jasmine Blando; grandchildren: Benjamin-Reed and Miles-Theodore; mother, Elena Blando; and siblings: Regis (Maria Theresa) Blando, Maria Celeste Dan, Uldarico Blando Jr., and Maria Elena Blando. He was preceded in death by his father, Uldarico B. Blando.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso, IN, with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
