Frank Anthony Cezus passed away on April 24, 2024, at the age of 79 in Valparaiso, Indiana. Born on June 13, 1944, to Emily and Frank B Cezus, Frank was a longtime resident of Valpo and an active member of the small town that he appreciated so much.
Frank was a graduate of Archmere Academy High School, class of 1962, and went on to pursue his passion for mathematics at Fordham University and the University of Wisconsin, eventually earning his Ph.D degree in 1972. His career as a math educator and also as a professional photographer continued for many years. He successfully taught and inspired numerous students in the intricacies of higher level mathematics, while also enjoying hours of photography centered on people, animals, nature, and the city of Chicago.
In 1968, Frank married his first wife, Diana Joy. They had two wonderful children: Sharon (Cezus) Fries, and Steven Cezus. Although they later divorced, Frank was still a devoted father, spending as much time as possible with his two children and also his second wife Mary (Marks).  A few of their favorite activities included playing baseball and taking photos at Forest Park, spending summertime days along the shore of the Indiana Dunes, and enjoying road trips back and forth to his original hometown of Wilmington, DE.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary.  Unfortunately the last two years of his life was a declining struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.  His memory will forever be cherished by his surviving family: his daughter, Sharon (Fries); his son, Steven; his five grandchildren, Jacob, Luke, Lira, Audra, and Savanna; his sister Marge (Cezus) Reyes and her husband Gil, and children Dan and Sandy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) to help reduce and/or eliminate this tragic disease.
Frank Anthony Cezus will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His legacy will live on through his family and friends who will always keep him in their hearts.

GUESTBOOK

Frank A. Cezus was a dearly loved brother. We kept in touch with visits, letters and most recently with frequent phone calls which ended with " love you, and I always enjoy our phone calls." I often want to phone you but know I will reach an empty line. Better to send prayers and good memories. Hope you met up with Dad in heaven. Love, Big sister -Marge Reyes

Sorry to hear Frank passed away. Just received the obituary today on July 11. -Gayton Marks
