Gary A. “Butch” Cable, 61 of Leitchfield, KY and formerly of Union Mills, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024. He was born July 23, 1962 in Valparaiso to John and Helen (Hillard) Cable and was the eighth of ten children. Butch began his career as a mechanic, then found his niche as a carpenter for over 20 years. Known as a ‘Mr. Fix-It”, he used his skills to help many friends and family over the years, and never asked for anything in return. Traveling with his wife, Cindy, family, and friends was a favorite of Butch, which continued in retirement. Through those travels he made many friends across the country and helped find his retirement home in Leitchfield, KY on the lake. Once there, Butch used his skills to customize his dream home.
Butch is survived by his daughter, Jenna (Michael) Marrell; son, Jason (Samantha) Reeve; grandsons, Jackson and Austin Reeve; numerous nieces and nephews; and his many loving and caring friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Cindy.
Cremation took place at Angelcrest Crematory, and no services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
