Gerald B. Regan, 72, of Valparaiso passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025. He was born May 21, 1952, in Gary, IN to Francis & Wilma (nee Henning) Regan, graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1970 and served proudly with the Indiana National Guard. Jerry’s career included time as a mechanic, employment with R.W. Poole Company servicing their vending accounts for many years, delivery driver with NAPA, and work history with Subaru in Lafayette, IN. His classic car collection and passion for all things associated with motor trends during the golden age of muscle cars garnered many friendships. He also collected automotive parts & memorabilia, vinyl record albums, and enough primitive cyber equipment to be classified as a “computer nerd”. He never intended to become a collector of felines, but when a stray cat that he had enticed into his care gave birth to kittens, Jerry became the unintended foster daddy to a dozen small charges.
On September 14, 1991, he married Linda Gilmore who preceded him in death on July 6, 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Shelley, sister, Martha Miner, and many close friends which included Rick Rugg & Jan Nelissen.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 7th from 11 am to 1 pm at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso with funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm and burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Gabriel’s Home, Valparaiso or Moeller Funeral Home for expenses.
GUESTBOOK
Jerry was always nice to me as I was growing up. Be it with rc cars, model cars, or even real cars. Jerry was a good friend of my father's as well. Jerry was the first friend of mine to stop and see my new house when my wife and I moved in. He drove his little red Capri convertible over. He will be missed. -Mike Gucciardo

I am so sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. He was the uncle of my ex-husband, and I was not told of his passing at the time of his death, but he reached out to me after my divorce and was very kind and offered emotional support to me at that time. My condolences to his family and friends. -Kristi Miner
