Ginger M. Sopko, 85 of Valparaiso passed away Monday, April 22, 2024.  She was born August 18, 1938 in Hammond, IN to the late Lewis H. and Ada Grace (Seed) Miller.  Ginger proudly began her career as a stewardess for Northwest Orient Airlines and retired as a travel agent.  She attended Central Christian Church, Valparaiso, enjoyed sewing, traveling, and cherished time with her grandchildren and family.
On August 12, 1961 in Griffith, Ginger married Stephen Sopko, Jr. who preceded her in death in 2013.  She is survived by her children, Shari (David) O’Neill of Franklin, WI, Stephen (Jill) Sopko of Suffolk, VA, Sue (Mark) Kukurugya of Valparaiso, and Jen (Gene) Buckmaster of Valparaiso; eight grandchildren, Jeff (Jaime) Eriks, Kathleen O’Neill, Jessica (Ryan) and Bridget Sopko, Alex (Kaitlyn) and Tatiana Kukurugya, Katelin and Kiley Buckmaster; three great-grandchildren: Aedan, Gunnar and Lochlan Eriks; and sister-in-law, Carol Bulfa
A Visitation will be held Monday, April 29, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso.
