Glenda “Joan” Wagoner, 84, of Valparaiso passed away peacefully at home on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026. She was born October 9, 1941, in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Daily & Glenda R. (Kell) McCluskey. Joan had owned and operated The House of Drapes in Valparaiso for many years before transitioning to her dream job as a card dealer at the local casinos and multiple Texas Hold ‘Em tournaments including the World Series of poker. Of course, she also loved to play Texas Hold ‘Em along with most other card games. And, she thoroughly enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas and Florida. Her greatest joy and what she lived for most; was spending as much time as she could get with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In 1962 she married Randall Wagoner who preceded her in death in 1994. Survivors include their children: Daniel Wagoner, David (Angie) Wagoner, Rita (Don) Cubert & Rhonda (Marty) Burden, stepsons, Randall (Maydelline) Wagoner, Jr. & Jerald Wagoner, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and her siblings: Joe (Wanda) McCluskey, Janice (Larry) Murray & Jennifer Maxwell. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Judy Flynn & James McCluskey, stepdaughter, Yvonne Burrell, and stepson, Robert Wagoner.
A visitation will be held Saturday, April 11th from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso with funeral service beginning at 12:30 pm and burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery.
