My deepest condolences to Yaya’s family. She was the kindest, sweetest, most fun person to have as a friend. I’ve never forgotten meeting the entire family at St. Francis Xavier Bingo forty years ago. Everyone was so loving and thoughtful. My favorite memory is when the Wolfe family decided to dig their own basement on Walnut Street in Portage. To hear Yaya recap each day’s events was hilarious. After they finished, I thought she could do anything she put her mind to, with Johnny’s help. I really admired her. -Patty Ables
