Jacqueline “Jackie” Sue Reedy, 83 of Valparaiso, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024. She was born on September 19, 1941 in Gary, IN to the late Vernon and Marcella Wells. Jackie graduated from Merrillville High School and made her career at John Hancock Insurance, ending her time there as an assistance office supervisor. She was a woman of faith and was a member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Kouts, IN. Jackie was quite the crafter and had many, many hobbies as a result; from ceramics to macramé. Along with her dear husband Bob, they had various collections and enjoyed watching NASCAR together. Her strength, sense of humor, and love for those around her will not soon be forgotten by those she leaves behind.
Survivors include her childhood sweetheart of over 65 years and loving husband, Robert “Bob” Reedy; and special friends and loved ones: Dave and Judy Jenks, Daniel and Rebecca Jenks, Scott and Lynn Jenks, Bill and Myra Burley, Arthur Burley, Darcy and Doug Botchler, Kim and Ed Webb, and Ted Lundgren.
A private service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Kouts with burial to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
