James Timothy Mullins, 58 of Valparaiso, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, April 30, 2022. He was born April 25, 1964, in Gary, Indiana to J.T. and Patricia (Glaze) Mullins. Jamie graduated from Boone Grove High School in 1982 and attended Ivy Tech in Valparaiso. He began his career working for the Water Department in Valparaiso for many years, before becoming a self-employed handyman. Jamie loved playing the drums, and had been the drummer in the band, Force 5. He was a fantastic baker, who generously shared his desserts with others. Jamie also enjoyed watching Star Trek, and spending time with his beloved dog, Brie, and 3 cats. He was gifted with the ability to make others laugh, and will be fondly remembered for his loving and caring nature. Jamie will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
On August 23, 1997 in Valparaiso, Jamie married the love of his life, Toni Clouse, who survives, along with their children: Joseph Wright and Kim (Kris Lohn) Mullins; grandchildren: Hendrix, Bartholomew, Ruby, and Octavia; and his mother, Patricia Mullins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Mullins; and his father, J.T. Mullins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso. Memorial donations may be made in Jamie’s name to Save The Music Foundation.
