Janet Faye Blevins, 81, of Valparaiso, Indiana passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. She was born December 12, 1941, in Owensboro, Kentucky to Chalen & Geneva (Mattingly) Wilson. Janet delivered the Post-Tribune daily newspaper for 12 years and then was employed by Gateway Industries in Michigan City for 10 years at the end of her career. Creating heirloom quilts for her family seemed to bring the most joy to her life.
Survivors include her children; Ronald Blevins, Jr. of Valparaiso, Jeff Blevins of Wheatfield, Tina Marie Felter of Valparaiso & Virginia Hayes of Elkhart, grandchildren: Emma, Megan, Sarah, Emily, Vanessa, Mark, Wally, Tiffany & Sydney, 11 great-grandchildren, siblings; Chalen Wilson, Lucinda Hare & David Wilson, and her former husband, Ronald Lee Blevins, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Ramona Crowe, and siblings; Cecelia “Butch” Boling, Jerry & Joe Wilson.
Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory a private family ceremony will be held to honor Janet’s life.
