Jeffrey A. White, 70 of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023. He was born July 22, 1952, in Michigan City, to Robert and Dolores (Swoverland) White. Jeff graduated from Chesterton High School and attended Faith Bible Church with his family. When he was young, Jeff delivered newspapers, and bagged groceries at Smedman’s in Chesterton. He was a resident with Bethesda, and had participated in the day programs with Opportunity Enterprises and Help at Home. Jeff was a sports fan and enjoyed cheering for the Chicago Cubs and Bulls. He will be dearly missed.
Jeff is survived by his siblings: Cindy (Terry) Weideman of Valparaiso, IN, Nanette White of Manistique, MI, and Amy White of Porter, IN; sister-in-law, Jennifer White of Wetmore, MI; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Randall White.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Jeff’s name to Opportunity Enterprises.
