Joseph Dusek, 81 of Valparaiso, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 27, 2022. He was born September 11, 1940, in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Elizabeth (Podmolek) Dusek. Joe proudly served in the United States Army, and later made his career as a Data Processor with Indiana Federal Bank in Valparaiso. He was a member of the VFW Post 988 and American Legion Post 94, both of Valparaiso. Joe kept active by bicycling to work and walking around town. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was proud of his 1950 Chevrolet, which he helped restore. Joe will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
Joe is survived by his daughters: Diana (Mike) Sliva of California, Jodi (Bernard Howard) Dusek of Michigan City, IN, and Ginger Dusek of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Joan Schumacher.
Following cremation, Joe will be laid to rest at a military cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to any Veteran’s Charity of the donor’s choice.
