Justin Eugene Brookover, 34 of Walkerton, IN, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024. He was born February 7, 1990, in Valparaiso to Dennis Brookover and Jamie Craig. Justin graduated from Valparaiso High School, and studied welding at Ivy Tech. He made his career as a mechanic with Absolute Auto and Transmission in Valparaiso, and as a self-employed mechanic with his own company, JB Auto. Justin loved racing and riding motorcycles, dirt bikes, and side by sides. He especially loved riding dirt bikes with his son, Braxton. Justin also enjoyed going fishing, to water parks, and various other fun adventures with his fiancé, Nicole. He will be remembered for his sweet personality, caring nature, and big heart. Justin will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Justin is survived by his fiancé, Nicole Fraker; 4-year-old son, Braxton; father, Dennis Brookover; mother, Jamie (Chris Wirt) Craig; siblings: Joshua (Samantha) Jenkins, Jessica Craig, Jessica Poludniak, Faith Brookover; grandfather, Robert Craig; great-aunt, Renee Chaisson, who helped raise Justin; and many loving extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Donna Craig, Sandy and Dennis Brookover; and infant sister, Cassandra Jenkins.

Justin and I grew up together and we remained friends throughout our lives. I lost my love and a good friend of Justin’s, Elliott Raye, last November and Justin made sure to check on me and even sent me a beautiful song that he said was for Elliott.
