I met Katherine through our dealings with Avera and SD Medicaid. What a beautiful soul. I felt like we had known each other a life time. She had a beautiful soul and the boys were her pride and joy. Dear John, Ben and James and family, My thoughts are with you and I am with you sad about this terrible loss of Katherine, your beloved wife and mother. Your pain must be limitless, it takes a lot of strength to endure it. I will never forget Katherines wonderful hospitality on my first visit to the States. I was able to stay with Katherine and had the opportunity to meet my American family. Niggi, Pascal, Gertrud and Dominik, we are all thinking of you very warmly, -Doris Schürmann (My mother, Therese Imboden-Hammer, was the sister of Teresa, Margaret and Jane's father). Basel, Switzerland
We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Katherine. We were fortunate enough to get to know her when our sons were classmates. She embraced us all and had such a heartfelt, nurturing way about her. We always enjoyed her sense of humor, warm hospitality and absolute dedication to her boys and family. She was a beautiful soul who had such a tremendous heart. My sons have very fond memories of the LAUER’s and still laugh when they are telling stories of the times they spent together. We are praying for strength and comfort for your days ahead— we will hold you close in our hearts. -The Meschede Family
