Kimberley Anne Gorseski, 47 of Valparaiso, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Thursday, September 7, 2023. She was born February 6, 1976, in East Chicago, IN to David and Doris (Hemphill) Evans. Kim graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in management. She worked at several area schools in the Valparaiso system, and as a preschool aide at Our Littlest Angels Preschool. Kim was a former member of Protection of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Merrillville, where she had taught Sunday School. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels for 19 years and enjoyed getting to know the people on her route, who were so appreciative of all the ways Kim went above and beyond for them. But nothing brought Kim more joy than being a mom. She was a loving and devoted mother to her three sons and took great pride in all that they achieved. Kim was also an avid flower gardener and loved reading books. Kim will be remembered for her great sense of humor and loving nature. She will be dearly missed.
On October 6, 2000, in Clark County, NV, Kim married the love of her life, Riste Gorseski, who survives, along with sons: Nicholas and Christopher Gorseski; mother and stepfather, Doris and Edward Ofiara; father, David (JoeAnne) Evans; siblings: Rilee (Eric) Nedved and David (Jillian) Evans; mother-in-law, Jordanka Gjorseski; brother-in-law, Goce (Hristina) Gjorseski; and nieces and nephews: Jaxon, Elijah, Clara, Braden, Keely, Bobby, Jonathan, and Michael. She was preceded in death by her son, Benjamin Gorseski; grandmothers: Pauline Rudzinski and Glenda Gonzalez; and father-in-law, Bogoja Gjorseski.
A private funeral service was held at Moeller Funeral Home with burial at Graceland Cemetery.
