Kimberly Howe, 60, of Valparaiso, passed away on February 7, 2025. She was born on August 24, 1964, in Gary, Indiana. Kimberly graduated from Hobart High School in 1983 and went on to live a life filled with love, compassion, and a deep devotion to her family and friends.
Kimberly was known for her vibrant personality, boundless generosity, and the incredible way she brought joy to everyone around her. She was a great cook, and her meals were a source of comfort and warmth for her family and friends. She had a heart that embraced everyone, and to many, she was like a mother to all—offering wisdom, love, and support without hesitation. A devoted wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, and friend, Kimberly’s love for her family was unmatched. Her kindness and support left an indelible mark on all who knew her, and she will be remembered with deep affection by those whose lives she touched.
Kimberly is survived by her beloved husband, Jeffrey Howe; children, Sean, Jason, Heather (Frank), Brandon (Tyler), Brooke; stepchildren, Marie and Megan (Josh); 13 grandchildren; her cherished dog, Peanut; and her four grandpups. She is also survived by her stepfather, Charles Newcomb; sisters, Vicki (Rocky), Patricia (Patrick), Marybeth (Hank), Debby (Steve), and Tammy (Bob), and several nieces and nephews. Kimberly was preceded in death by her brother, Joe (Lori); mother, Daphna Newcomb; and father, Joseph Ginter Sr.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who offered their love and support during this difficult time. A visitation will be held to honor Kimberly’s memory at Moeller Funeral Home in Valpo on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 5 – 7 pm with a time of sharing at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
Kimberly’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be forever missed and always remembered.
