Laura A. Sajdera, 66 of Kouts, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022. She was born May 7, 1955 in Gary, IN the daughter of Anthony and Margaret (Henderson) Qualizza. Laura retired from Porter Hospital, where she had worked for 35 years as a respiratory therapist. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Laura loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
On April 25, 1975 in Merrillville, Laura married Michael J. Sajdera who survives along with their children, Michael A. (Brooke) Sajdera and Melissa (Brad) Moyer; grandchildren, Avery, Taylor, Tyson, Addison, and Talon; brothers, Steve (Sandy) Qualizza, Tony (Cindy) Qualizza, Mike (Darla) Qualizza, and Mark (Patty) Qualizza; mother-in-law, Lillian Sajdera; brother-in-law, Mickey Sliwa; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Suzanne Sliwa; father-in-law, Ervin Sajdera; and brother-in-law, Andrew Sajdera.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Open Door Fellowship 636 S. Baums Bridge Rd., Kouts, with a Funeral Service beginning at 7:00 PM. Private burial will take place at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso.
