Lillian Frances “Tiny” Gift, 95 of Wanatah, passed away at her daughter, Gina’s home, Wednesday, October 26, 2022. She was born February 19, 1927 in East Chicago, IN to the late Thomas and Cecil Irene (Hartman) Terrana. Lillian was a member of Valley Baptist Church, Valparaiso and was always active with children’s ministries no matter where she attended church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and fishing. Known as “Double G” to her grandkids, Lillian loved spending time with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
On June 15, 1946 in Hebron, Lillian married Thomas R. “Dick” Gift, Sr., who preceded her in death in 2005. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Randi) Gift, Jr., Joanna (Dennis) Bos, Gina (Mike) Merle, Arthur (Jari) Gift, and Ronald (Sarah) Gift; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and her sisters, Carolyn Bowen and Florence Terrana.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Valley Baptist Church 255 Rigg Rd., Valparaiso, with a Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Hanna Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Riley Children’s Hospital.
