Lillie North, 93 of Valparaiso, passed away on June 6, 2024. She was born on May 24, 1931 in Lynch, KY to David Grant and Nancy Ann (Jackson) Fields. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother, dedicating her life to raising her family. Over the years she got to add grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother to the list and enjoyed supporting their various endeavors. Lillie was fond of sewing, ceramics, flowers, and her vegetable garden. Her bright smile, strong will, and kind heart will be dearly missed.
On May 14, 1949 Lillie married Marshall North, who preceded her in death in 2019. Survivors include children: James deceased (Shirley) North, Marsha Ann Robison, Vickie (Otis) Donaldson, Carol (Charles deceased) Watson, Naomi (Neal) Palmer, and Marshall (Lisa) North; brother, Woodrow Fields; and an abundance of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Paul (Ruby) Fields, Myrtle (Arthur) Hogg, Ruby (Jack) Hatfield, Frank (Doris) Fields; and sister-in-law, Barb Fields.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, IN. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 beginning 1:00 PM at Washington Evangelical Free Church, 3805 Laporte Ave, Entrance A, Valparaiso, IN. Burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery Kouts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
