Linda M. Pozil, 79, a lifelong resident of Valparaiso, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025. She was born July 29, 1945, to the late Ivan and Lillian (Erickson) Hill. Linda was also preceded in death by her sister, Carol Hill; son, Dennis Dommer; and husband, David Pozil. She is survived by her daughter, Janet (June Lenher) Dommer; and stepdaughters: Julie (Jordan) Houin, and Trisha (Matthew) Camp.
In retirement, Linda loved spending winters at their home in Florida where she and Dave enjoyed sunshine, fishing, and of course, “beer thirties” with friends and family. She was extremely creative and loved making afghans, quilts, cross stitching, painting, and stained glass.
As time passed and dementia took a toll, Linda found her way to Avalon Springs Legacy memory care facility in Valparaiso. Her family is grateful for the care and compassion shown to Linda by all the staff at Avalon, St. Agnes Adult Day Service Center, and Dunes Hospice.
To honor Linda’s wishes, there will be no services held. In her memory, donations may be made to Dunes Hospice or St. Agnes Adult Day Service Center.
