Lois E. Howe, 82 of Valparaiso passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025.  She was born on July 3, 1942 in Kouts, Indiana to the late Orie and Helen (Hill) Reinhardt.  A graduate of Kouts High School, Lois made her career at Town and Country, working for over 30 years as a cashier and in customer service.  She enjoyed word puzzles, working in the yard, gardening, and fishing with her husband, David.

On September 5, 1960 in Valparaiso, Lois married her husband of 56 years, David P. Howe who preceded her in death on October 19, 2016.  She is survived by her children, Jeff Howe, Shelley (Jesse) Clark, Sheila Ashton, and Sharon Howe; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; siblings, Pam (Keith) Tosseng, Diana Kusinski, Vernon “Bud” Reinhardt; Vera Birky, Shirley Kneifel, and Helen Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ellen Marie Howe; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Howe; and seven siblings.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 19, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a Time of Sharing beginning at 12:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes, or Riley Hospital for Children.
