Margaret Jean “Peggy” Whittington, 87, of North Judson, Indiana passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Brickyard Health Care in Valparaiso. She was born July 20, 1935 in Valparaiso to James & Julia Mae (Wise) Wilson. Peggy made her career as an Assistant Manager of an apartment complex in Melbourne, Florida.
On July 29, 1952 in LaPorte she married Samuel E. Whittington who preceded her in death on January 23, 2014. Survivors include their children; Garry (Teri) Whittington of Kouts, Paula Elkins of Valparaiso, daughter-in-law, Deb Whittington of Chesterton, grandchildren: Carrie Ann Schrader, Michele O’Connor, Jessica Whittington, Alisha Whittington, Emily Whittington & James Elkins, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Michael Whittington in 2019.
A visitation will be held Monday, November 21st from 3 – 6 pm at Kosanke Funeral Home, 309 S. Main St., Kouts (new location) with a memorial service to begin at 5:30 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Dunes Hospice.

Aunt Peg was a sweet and kind person. I always enjoyed her and Uncle Pete’s visits when I was young. This past summer at the family reunion we were euchre partners and it will forever be a happy memory for me. -Allen Burton
