Marian Bach, 83 of Westville, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2025. She was born July 31, 1941, to the late Charles and Buneta (Bowen) Foster. Marian received her education in secretarial studies from Lincoln Christian College. She retired as a Dietary Aide with Lifecare Center in Valparaiso. Marian had previously been a member and accompanist for Flint Lake Church of Christ, and a board member and accompanist for Central Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Marian exhibited kindness and love to everyone she met. Her good advice, wisdom, and wonderful sense of humor have guided her children throughout their lives. Marian will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed, but fondly remembered every day.
On October 12, 1963, Marian married David Bach, who preceded her in death in 2006. She is survived by their children: Chris Bach, Jamie (Bronson) McCormick, and Jodie (Don Tharp) Bach-Tharp; grandchildren: Jessica (Brandon) Willis, Rebecca (Bryan) Hogan, Bryce (Cam) Weiler, Dewana (Jack Cowan) Hammonds, Jenessa (Danny) Brinsfield, Brandon Hammonds, Beth DeMass, and Lacey McCormick; great-grandchildren: Rose, Ross, Lily, Liam, Nolan, Zoe, and one on the way. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Weiler; and son, Jeffrey Bach.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.

Ive worked st Stracks/Wiseway for the last 25 years and she used to shop there all the time and she was the nicest sweetest lady and ahe was always smiling! Marian was one of my favorite customers. I will remember Marian from many years of friendship as a neighbor on Marion St, and our memberships in the Flint Lake Church of Christ and Central Christian Church.
