Marilyn T. Lowenstine, 94 of Valparaiso passed away Friday, June 13, 2025. She was born April 12, 1931 in Gary, IN to Andrew & Ann (Yurko) Tapocsi and graduated from Wheeler High School. Marilyn made her career as a Real Estate Broker with Lowenstine Real Estate.
Survivors include her son, John Lowenstine of Cedar Lake, brother, James (Sue) Tapocsi, grandchildren: Amy Smith & Aaron (Amanda) Vagelatos, great-grandchildren: Kara, Nathan & Noah Vagelatos, and Caelyn Belle Rust, nephew, David, and niece, Leanne. She was preceded in death by sons: Richard Jay Lowenstine & Christopher Blake Lowenstine, nephew, Mikey Tapocsi, and her parents.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 20th from 5 – 6 pm at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso with memorial service beginning at 6:00 pm. Private entombment will take place at Graceland Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the VNA Hospice of NWI or St. Paul Catholic Church, Valparaiso
