Marjorie Jeanee Rogers, 90 of Valparaiso and formerly of Merrillville, passed away Monday, December 1, 2025.  She was born on December 16, 1934 in Monessen, Pennsylvania to the late, Daniel and Alice (Souply) Rogers, Sr.  Marjorie worked in the office at Valparaiso Orthopedic Clinic for 28 years, retiring in 1999.  She found enjoyment in the outdoors, gardening, dancing, music, and working puzzles.  More recently, she enjoyed watching birds, driving her scooter fast, watching foreign films with subtitles, and maybe her favorite, tracking her family on the Find My App.   Marjorie loved to travel and shared her love of traveling and enjoying life with all her family that she cherished so much.  Marjorie maintained her smart wit and ability to throw out one-line zingers until her passing. 

On August 15, 1953, Marjorie married William C. Rogers, who preceded her in death in January 1976.  She is survived by her children, William (Jean) Rogers, Tammy (Chris) Remkus, and Meg (Perry Brne) Bassett, grandchildren, Jeffrey Alexander (Kayla Rollins) Larson, Alyssa (Jefferson) Bassett-Shatzen, Jared (Hannah Kennedy) Remkus, and Brandon Remkus; sister-in-law, Janet Rogers; favorite nieces, Faye Manalang and Trina Romer Burdett; and many other nieces and nephews.  Marjorie was also preceded in death by her brothers, Daniel Rogers, Jr. and Donald Rogers, and sister, Gail Lynn Burdett. 

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with a Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 PM and burial to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Dunes Hospice, 4711 Evans Avenue, Valparaiso, IN 46383.  Marjorie’s family would like to thank Dunes Hospice and the caregivers at Chesterton Manor for the care and compassion given to Marjorie and the family.

Dear Meg, Tammy, Bill and families, We are sending our sincerest condolences to all of you during your painful loss. All of you are in our hearts and prayers. I have so many wonderful memories of spending time visiting for birthdays, graduations, weddings, holidays and vacations when we were young.
