Mark Joseph Tollaksen, 68, of Porter, Indiana, passed away on May 23, 2025.  He was born June 6, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late H. Sam and Carolyn (Danhoff) Tollaksen. 

Mark began working as a tour guide for the family business, the Deer Park in Wisconsin Dells.  After graduating from culinary school, he started his career at several Chicagoland restaurants and hotels before moving to Northwest Indiana where he worked at Valparaiso University in Food Services.  Mark was an avid motorsports fan, over 50 years, and enjoyed the opportunity to participate as a racing podcast host for several years.  He was also a Chicago Bears and White Sox fan. 

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Anne, along with Scott (Suzanne) Tollaksen, Chris (Dee) Tollaksen, Jean Tollaksen, and many special cousins, nieces and nephews. 

A private service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to victoryjunction.org.
