Marvin Lee Jones
May 16, 1951 – October 11, 2025
Marvin Jones passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, love, and an unwavering appreciation for the simple beauty of life. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Marvin touched the lives of all who knew him with his generous spirit and warm heart.
For the past thirteen years, Marvin shared a beautiful life with his cherished wife, Patti Jones. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, love, and treasured memories. They would take long drives together, appreciating the beauty of quality time and the natural world around them. Patti would always say, “My Marvin, my sweet man”—a testament to the deep bond they shared.
A simple, selfless man, Marvin had a profound love for the natural world. Whether he was casting a line while fishing with his grandson, tending to his garden, savoring the big salads Patti lovingly prepared for him, or making fresh sushi with his granddaughter, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures. His passion for nature was matched only by his gift for storytelling and his ability to make every moment spent with loved ones feel special.
A devoted family man, Marvin created cherished memories with his children and siblings throughout his life. He is survived by his, children, stepchildren, siblings, grandchildren, and many friends who enriched his life immeasurably. He was lovingly known as “Grampy” or “Papa” to his grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary (Hicks) Jones Eason and Vernon Jones. Marvin’s heart of gold, his infectious love of life, and his genuine care for others will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy lives on in the countless memories he created and the love he shared.
“So, as the Holy Spirit says: ‘Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.’” — Hebrews 3:7–8
