Masuko Kimata Parrish, 55, a Valparaiso, Indiana resident since 2013, formerly of Michigan City passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 10, 2023, with her family. She was born October 25, 1967, in Kyoto, Japan to Kunihiko & Masako (Kitano) Kimata. Masuko particularly enjoyed working with children teaching them the Japanese language and culture.
On November 28, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada she married Harvey Parrish who survives along with children; Kristina Parrish (fiancé-Jason Martinez) of Denton, Texas & Isaiah Parrish of Valparaiso, her mother, Masako Kimata, brother, Yoshiki Kimata, sister, Natsuko Kimata all of Kyoto, Japan. She was preceded in death by her father, Kunihiko Kimata.
Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory a private family committal ceremony will be held at Angelcrest Cemetery.
